BLMF Mobile App Privacy Policy

Bible and Literature Missionary Foundation ("BLMF," "we," "us," or "our"), with application services provided by CFTechnologies, respects your privacy. This policy explains how the BLMF mobile application collects, uses, shares, and protects information.

Information we collect

• Account information: Your email address, account identifier, and password credentials. Passwords are processed by our authentication provider, Supabase; we do not have access to your password.
• Profile information: A name and phone number if you choose to provide them.
• Communications preferences: Whether you choose to receive optional ministry email updates and when that preference was recorded.
• Prayer requests: The name you choose to display, your prayer-request text, whether you mark the request private, and whether it has been marked answered.
• Notification information: A device push token and device platform when you allow notifications.
• Technical information: Our service providers may process limited technical information, such as IP address, device or browser information, and service logs, to deliver and secure their services.

We do not use the app for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and we do not sell personal information.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, provide app features, maintain profiles and preferences, deliver requested ministry emails and notifications, display and manage prayer requests and praise reports, respond to support or privacy requests, prevent abuse, and maintain the reliability and security of the app.

Prayer-request visibility

Private prayer requests are available only to the person who submitted them and authorized ministry administrators or prayer-team personnel. Prayer requests not marked private may be displayed to other signed-in app users. A displayed name is optional. When a request is marked answered, it may appear in the praise-reports list with the same privacy setting. Users can update, mark answered, or remove their own requests. Authorized administrators may moderate requests.

Please do not submit highly sensitive information or personal information about another person unless you have their permission.

Email and push notifications

Ministry email updates are optional. If you opt in, your email address and available name are shared with Resend to manage and deliver those messages. You can unsubscribe in the Account screen or through an unsubscribe option in an email.

If you allow push notifications, an Expo push token associated with your account is stored and used to deliver daily Bible verses and ministry notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

Service providers and external services

We use service providers only as needed to operate the app, including Supabase for authentication and database services, Resend for opted-in email updates, Expo for push-notification delivery and app services, and Cloudflare for delivery of certain ministry media.

The app may open external services such as Tithe.ly for donations, Facebook for livestreams, and your selected navigation provider for directions. Information you provide directly to those services is governed by their privacy policies. Payment-card and banking information is entered on Tithe.ly's service and is not collected or stored by the BLMF app.

Data retention and deletion

We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the app, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Service logs and records required for fraud prevention, security, tax, accounting, or legal compliance may be retained as permitted or required by law.

You can permanently delete your account from Account > Delete my account in the app. Deleting the account removes the Supabase authentication account and associated profile, push token, and prayer requests, and removes the associated Resend contact when present. Donation records maintained by Tithe.ly or legally required financial records are not deleted through the app and must be handled under the applicable provider's and ministry's legal obligations.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted network connections and access controls. No electronic transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed specifically to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information improperly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. The revised policy will be posted at the same public URL with a new effective date.
